Horses
At Shadybrook Farms we utilize BLM (Bureau of Land Management) horses. Our preference at this time is the Palomino Butte herd, found in Central Oregon. We also currently have horses from other HMA's (Herd Management Area's) including Paisley and Kiger. Most are in different levels of training, and are available on an ongoing basis.

Shadybrook's Dan

Kiger HMA. Found Kiger, Dun gelding, 19 years.   $2500  Dan is a ranch gelding that can drag the calves to the fire, and get thru the diverse trail as easily as sleeping, and is a mounted shooting horse with many multiple buckle wins. Has done the Great Sumpter Train Robbery re-enactment. 15.1 approx 1200lbs.

Palomino Butte HMA. Red dun mare, 18 years. Mounted shooting, ranch work, colt breaking, trail and family horse. Cinder has kept the farm going for many years, and is still in use to this day. Steady, quiet and consistent. Approx 15h, and 1200lbs
Miss Prineville

This 2003  mare  is 15 hands.  Good bone, large foot, clean lines.  $6500  Clear Title.

Is currently in training as a saddle horse. Is suitable for trail, mountain, and general ranch use. Clips, baths, ties, hauls. Quiet and willing disposition.  Beginner rider ok.
Shadybrook's Lady In Red 

Sorrel filly foaled 2006 in captivity out of Palomino Butte HMA mare.  Clips, bathes, trailers, ties, has been saddled. Very nice filly, with a great mind to work with. Will be an attention getter, and should progress very nicely in her training.

Shadybrook's Copper Penny
This little red mare clips, bathes, hauls and is ready for a beginner to intermediate rider. Born in 2004, she is ready for some long rides.  She is very smooth and will singlefoot. She is currently in Southern California for Competative Trail Trial Training.
